3. The Great Escape – A WWII-era BMW R71 (Triumph TR6)
Steve McQueen’s bike escape is quite memorable and for some, the most amazing bike scene ever. It is quite exciting to see McQueen jumping over a tall barbed-wire fence with the best soundtrack in the background. The bike which was used in this scene wasn’t the BMW, but a Triumph TR6 race bike, which McQueen rode in real life. Also, it is interesting to note that McQueen did all of the stunts except the jump and only because the producers wouldn’t allow it.
