If you want something fast that can also work for your daily commute, read on to see if the new Nissan GT-R is a right fit for you.
All-Wheel Drive
The base GT-R comes with a special system to control its all-wheel drive setup. Although it’s a sports car through and through, the dual clutch 6-speed transmission and independent rear-mounted transaxle set it apart from similar models on the market.
Being about to take your car anywhere you go is an appealing feature for weekend warriors and strict commuters. Buyers can stick with the DOHC 24-valve engine to keep the car within the $115K mark, or they can opt for the NISMO-tuned motor in the upper model. The NISMO customization increases the MSRP to around $210K base.
Powerful Powertrain
This 3,500 horsepower vehicle is not something to buy if you’re trying to blend in. The most souped up version, the Extreme Turbo Systems GT-R, clocks in at a trap speed of nearly 223 mph. With a quarter mill run of less than 7 seconds, this unit has set the standard for power within the high-performance car consumer sphere.
With a turn of your keys, the sound alone is enough to make anyone turn their head. While this isn’t how you’ll find most base models equipped, the GT-R is one car that leaves ample room for engine customization.
Clean Turbocharged Engine
One of the most desirable aspects of the GT-R is the sleek look, but the aesthetic is backed by a closed-deck cylinder block and a ladder frame structure for additional support.
As with other Nissan models, craftsmanship is the name of the game. Detailed engineering sets this signature model apart from other sports cars in the same class from comparable retailers.
On the back of each engine, you’ll find a mounted IHI turbocharger inspired by professional racing technology. The optimized attachment points allow for better ease of use when it comes to servicing and potential tuning.
To prevent turbo lag, the GT-R employees electronic controls for maximum control and support. This gives the system the ability to ensure a faster engine response at a lower rpm.
Sleek Minimalist Interior
While this isn’t an aspect of the car’s performance, the interior is without a doubt one of the most important elements of any vehicle’s aesthetic. All GT-R models come with a smooth, modern interior design and all of the tech tools needed for a seamlessly connected lifestyle.
When it comes to technology, the GT-R comes equipped with everything you could want to keep your life in sync. From hands-free calling to an 8-inch interactive touchscreen display, you can access all of your devices safely via bluetooth.
This model also comes integrated with Apple’s CarPlay and a responsive rearview monitor for top safety and accessibility.

Engine junkies who want a car that encompasses performance and the sleek look of cars in a much higher price point, the GT-R is a solid all-in-one for any driving enthusiast.

Aerodynamics and heavy dose of carbon fibre
For the last model year, with aerodynamic gains in mind, the architecture of the GT-R NISMO changed, with the changes entirely functional.
For key areas, such as the engine bay and brakes, cooling was improved, all without adversely affecting the 0.26 drag coefficient rating. The quantity of carbon fibre used in the vehicle is also the most powerful and exclusive of all GT-Rs, apart from non-NISMO versions.
Compared to the GT-R Premium edition, most components are lighter. The front and rear bumpers, front fenders (-10 pounds), hood (-4.4 pounds), roof (-8.8 pounds), side sill covers, trunk and rear spoiler are included. In order to reduce weight , increase downforce and boost aerodynamics, each part was enhanced.
Color Choice
Strong Red, Jet Black Pearl, Super Silver QuadCoat (premium colour) and Pearl White TriCoat (premium colour) are the colour options for the 2024 Nissan GT-R NISMO. Black side mirrors that distinguish the car from the GT-R Premium are featured in all colour schemes.
Redefined handling, grip and steering
The suspension tuning of the 2024 GT-R NISMO enhances cornering stability (lateral G), with improved yaw-rate response and smoother ride quality (compared to the 2019 model). The steering features greater linearity and accuracy than ever, even at speeds exceeding 186 mph, requiring minimal corrections.
A nine-speaker feature that increases rigidity is built into the unique 20-inch RAYS forged aluminium wheels. Their exclusivity is indicated by a diamond-cut white-and-red NISMO logo on the bottom.
The specially built Dunlop tyres have a rubber compound that helps to improve grip by 7% and a tread pattern with one less front groove, which improves the contact patch by 11% (compared to the 2019 model). The shoulder shape of the tyre is slightly rounder, so that more rubber surface reaches the ground as the car leans during cornering, creating more traction.
Better Exhaust System
The 2024 GT-R also features a conventional titanium exhaust system, which better handles the engine’s high temperatures (versus non-titanium) of exhaust gases.
The device includes a duct just ahead of the muffler on the vehicle’s undertray that directs air into the rear diffuser section to help cool the muffler and expel hot air.
Engine power is transferred through an individual rear transaxle, the ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive mechanism, to all four wheels of the GT-R Premium. The GT-R acts like a rear-drive vehicle during normal driving, with a torque split set at 0:100, but depending on speed, lateral acceleration, steering angle, tyre slip, road surface and yaw rate, it can automatically be redirected up to 50:50.
