4. Starting the Motorcycle
Of course, if you want to drive a motorcycle, you must start it. With all new bikes, the starting is done with the switch. So, if the switch is in the “On” position, it means you can turn the key to the “Ignition” position.
The important thing to check before starting is that the machine is in neutral gear. If so, you can press the start button that is most often near the ON/OFF switch. Once you have performed this procedure, the motorcycle will start and run at idle speed.
If you have a carbureted bike, you will probably need to use the throttle so the engine can allow the fuel to flow into the cylinders. On the other hand, this is not necessary if you have a fuel-injected bike.
