5. Shifting
If you have experience with shifting in cars, we must immediately tell you that the principle with the motorcycle is different. With these machines, shifting is performed by moving the lever up or down with the help of your left foot. It can be difficult for beginners to find neutral, but if you move the shifter, you will probably notice at some point that the gauge displays “N”, which means it is engaged in neutral. One feature of some motorcycles is that the gears can be changed without the use of a clutch so that can be very useful for beginners. But, even if you own a machine like this, it’s our advice to use a clutch every time. The first thing you need to do is to disengage the clutch, shift gears and then engage the clutch again. By using the clutch, you will notice that you will make shifting smoother.
