Wheels and Breaks
Don’t be deceived by the solid wheel design on the Café Racer because the wheel is machined from aluminum billet in two halves. The sides are bolted together from inside the rim, meaning that nothing is visible from the outside. The valve is located in one of the spokes behind the break disc whereas the air pocket runs from the valve inside the aluminum through the rim into the tire.
The 305mm diameter front brake discs and rear discs are used and they have the Levis logo into the outer surface at the end of each of the six spokes. The company also added the radial calipers that are made from billet aluminum and they are finished to match the rest of the bike.
