4. The Harley Davidson Cosmic Starship – $1.5 million
Harley is one of America’s traditional brands, and their roots stretch deep into the motorcycle history. They can allow themselves to create bikes which are expensive, but the Cosmic Starships comes with a hefty price tag for a reason. The person who painted this bike is Jack Armstrong whose paintings sell between $300,000 and $3,000,000.
Now we are not saying that there aren’t people who could paint the bike just like Armstrong, but this Harley Davidson is considered to be more a piece of art that the actual bike. This is the only motorcycle Armstrong has ever painted, and it will remain one, which adds to the price even more. When asked about Harleys in general, the artists said: “For me as an artist, Harley is James Dean, Brando, Elvis, and Steve McQueen and is more American than ice cream.”
